Did you ever buy anything that was not used?

Mike,

You need to put on your glasses when you read my posts.

I said the Sh!tvette had old technology, a crummy 4 speed or an ancient
cheap automatic.

My 1200 with a 4 speed could drive rings around the 1.6 Sh!tvette. I don't
think any American manufacturer had a 5 speed. Now the Corvette has a 6
speed.

And just because most Americans are damnably lazy, and voted for Jar Jar
Binks, doesn't mean they all are. I'm only driving an automatic because in
used cars, beggars can't be too choosy.

Yes.

I bought a brand new 1979 Toyota Corolla (1501 1.2 l with 4 speed.)

I also bought a brand new 1995 Chevy S-10 4 cylinder 5 speed.

Right now I look at the new car market and I don't see anything that excites
me. They all rook arike.

Mine was a '78 but I sprung the extra $150 for the 5-speed. Made a
difference...45 MPG overall.

I actually drove one of these first, and loved it...

But $400 was a LOT of money in 1978...

Nah. Our '72 had a wonderful AT.
