Why did you sign your post, idiot bullshitter? I do not think you are an
idiot or a bullshitter, you are simply ignorant of the subject of which you
have chosen to comment or at best uniformed. ;)

Can't speak for "we". I only know what i was talking about. Did you know
what you were talking about when you said "there's nothing special about
ductile iron that would necessitate a proprietary japanese pour for a
usa casting." ?

I know it must getting to be a problem for you guys with so many different
Toyota recalls. I can see why you get so confused. The two truck recalls
are entirely different problems.

The Nippon Steel material used, from which the rusting frames are stamped,
is ROLLED sheet steel, not cast steel.

The Nippon Steel material used that is cracking, from which that shaft piece
is machined, would be a "dropped forged" steel, not cast steel. Cast steel
is a whole different type of steel.

No wonder you guys are all over the place trying to defend Toyota over all
of its different recalls.

but you're confusing frames with driveshafts. different materials.

actually, i know quite a bit about steel production and processing.
someone would need a real special reason to import ingot from japan.
commodity "ductile iron" ain't it.

so which is it mike? earlier, you referred to "ductile iron". that is
a cast product, not rolled.

you mean "iron". and what "shaft piece" are you referring to? there's
more than one, and none of them have to be "drop forged".
