"Fair share" means whatever is the legal requirement at the moment. You meant to say YES but you were afraid to. Now I will show you that you're no different than Kerry. Your band somehow hits the big time, playing high-priced weddings, outdoor festivals and corporate events. You need $10,000.00 worth of PA equipment. You find a dealer across the state line where sales tax (hypothetically speaking) is 3% lower than where you live and the base price is identical to the dealer in your state. It's a 15 minute drive to save $300.00. I know what you'd do. You'd make the 15 minute drive to avoid paying more tax. Don't tell me otherwise. You're just like Kerry.

Ah, so if we set the tax rate for the very rich at 98%, then that's their "fair share".... Seems rather......arbitrary.

For purposes of this discussion, it doesn't matter WHAT the rate is. All that matters is the 3% difference 15 minutes away. If you want to debate what absolute number is "fair", start another thread.

We get all our stuff from a place in state. We can beat them down enough to beat the tax, and still pay it. And that would be $650 in taxes, and we'd still be able to get the price down enough. We'd probably also buy US made stuff, not a $7M made in New Zealand yacht. Also, I don' thave the money Kerry does. If I did, I'd go down to the store and buy that PA right now.

What gets me is the Democrat Congress has raised one tax or another every month since Obungler was elected. Hey, why not? THEY don't pay their taxes! Rangler, Kerry and Geitner...the Three Stooges of Tax Evasion. Pelosi doesn't have to worry about paying taxes for air travel...you can't pay a tax on NOTHING! |
