Your President just CAN'T be wrong, can he? http://www.eagleworldnews.com/2010/06/15/obama-refuses-dutch-help-for-gulf-oil-crisis/ http://www.businessinsider.com/heres-the-real-reason-america-refused-international-help-on-the-oil-spill-2010-6 Even the Canadians know more about it then you seem to: Just three days after BP's oil rig went down, the Dutch government offered to provide ships with oil-skimming booms and a plan to build (within three weeks) a 96.5-kilometre-long sand barrier (i. e. dike) that would protect the sensitive marshland on the Louisiana coastline. No one knows how to protect a coastline like the Dutch but, according to the Netherland's Consul General in Houston, they received a "thanks, but no thanks" from Obama's administration. Read more: http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Obama+favours+union+over+Gulf+environment/3168731/story.html#ixzz0rRmVUpKR The Obama Administration recently used red tape to force Louisiana to stop using 16 barges that were cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico by sucking thousands of gallons of oil out of Louisiana's oil-soaked waters. Earlier, it delayed the clean-up of the Gulf of Mexico by months, by blocking foreign crews from operating sophisticated clean-up vessels. The Jones Act bans foreign vessels and crews from working in U.S. waters, but it gives the president the authority to completely waive that ban if he wishes. Obama refused to lift the ban, even though American shippers who generally support the ban said they wouldn't object to lifting it to fight the spill. As a result of the ban, the U.S. has rejected a lot of foreign aid from counties with expertise in fighting oil spills, and accepted only a small amount of foreign equipment to fight the spill. http://www.opposingviews.com/i/obama-blocks-louisiana-foreign-allies-from-oil-spill-clean-up Truth is out there, but the Lame stream media can't tell you because it would make Obungler look as bad as Bush. Fact is, he's worse.
