From: Mike Hunter on 1 Apr 2010 18:57 Get real! One can NOT find scientific evidence that C02 effects the temperature on earth because there in NO scientific evidence for that, only a theory. Gravity can be and has been "proven," what can not be determined is HOW or WHY it works. When it comes to "man being the cause" of global warning that has NEVER been proven, because they can not scientifically show how CO2, a gas that comprises less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere can possibly effect the average temperature of the earth, either up or down. The moisture in the lower atmosphere has far more effect on the temperature than ANY of the other 6% of the gasses in the atmosphere, beside Oxygen and Nitrogen. The historical record shows the level of CO2, during the millions of years the dinosaurs roamed the earth, was nearly thee times what it is today and life flourished more so than any other time in history. The fact is the more C02, the more vegetation and thus more Oxygen. The historical record shows the mid thirties were warmer than today when the amount of C02 was the same as today and if one tried to use the same "logic" that suggest the earth is warming today, to look BACK, it would not find the mini ice-age that occurred in the sixteen hundreds in Europe. Numerous Paleo-Climatologists have consistently stated the level of C02 in the atmosphere historically has FOLLOWED the temperature up and down, not the other way around, as the global warming theorists keep claiming. What and has been proven is that volcanic activity and the resulting movement of the tectonic plates has caused the temperature of the earth to DRAMATICALLY effect the average temperature of the earth BOTH up and down, because it effects the temperature of the oceans. It is a quickening of the movement of the tectonic plates under the Pacific Ocean that makes it possible for Climatologists to predict the El Ni�o effect. Real scientist know that there has been ever increasing Solar activity for the past ten years or so as well, and Solar activity has a greater effect on the earth than does the atmosphere alone The earthquake that struck south America actually MOVED the whole continent of South America! The city of Conception moved TEN FEET east and the far side of the continent moved over and inch to the east. I'm sure other scientist would love opportunity to try to duplicate those C02 tests in their lab, to see if what the global warming theorist are claiming is actually factual.
