Pardon the on-topic post.

The base on the antenna is evidently broken. The part the antenna
screws in to is floating loose inside the housing.

Has anyone had this happen and do you remember how much it was to fix?

I'm thinking a car stereo shop might be able to replace it cheaper than
the dealer...

google "toyota Yaris antenna" and you will find that some have
replaced the wire antenna with a "shark fin" antenna. Seems the
factory antenna is good until you go through a car wash that uses
bushes. It depends on what part of the antenna broke as to what will
have to be replaced.
