I assumed you did when you wrote that you had been on USENET since it
was a "DARPA project"

>I used to have to deal with them daily.
>So, how in your syphlitic mind did you fancy I mixed up an agency with a
>network? You probably didn't know what DARPA was until two days ago when
>you had to Google it.

Yet, I know that DARPA is an agenct and DARPANET/ARPANET an
infrastructure.

See this will now go on for lots of posts and several days and in the
end you will finally fiigure out that what I am saying is the 100%
factual truth. As it always is.

1. "Darpa"- definition: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

2. "project" - definition: collaborative enterprise, frequently
involving research or design

3. "DARPA project" definition: a collaborative research enterprise
managed by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

Are you with me so far? No problems undersanding what the words mean?
Stop me if you are having trouble.

4. ARPANET - definition: Advanced Research Projects Agency Network

Now, see that last word in the definition of ARPANET, Network. Well in
this case it is a "Telecommunications Network"

5. Tellecommunications Network - definition: a collection of
terminals, links and nodes which connect together to enable
telecommunication between users of the terminals

DARPA is a place where people work on and manage research projects
like ARPANET/DARPANET.

See, one is the outgrowth of the work done at the other but they are
in no way the same thing and are in no way interchangeble word because
they do not mean the same thing.

So go ahead, check my work, have your reading make sense and get back
to me, it will save you a lot of time and effort now if you do.

Oh and the otherthing, USENET was never a DARPA project. Not even once
for just a few minutes. DARPA had nothing to do with USENET.

So there is that problem too. But you work on the whole DARPA ARPANET
thing first and I'll spank you with the USENET information later.

He'd be smarter to say lying, he wouldn't look as stupid after all the
times I've explained the difference.

You know he may not be lying, it is entirely possible he is so stupid
he can't tell the difference between an Agency and an Infrastructure.
