Perhaps they will if they ever figure out what is wrong with their gasoline
powered cars. ;)

Ouch! :D

Drove with a friend who had a turbo-diesel Jetta... he said he easily
gets 50+ mpg on that. Wish Toyota made more turbodiesels...

Are you saying their are instruction in the Toyota owners manual that tells
you what to do when your Toyota gets our of control and flies down the
highway?

The press always takes notice when people are killed, especially 54 of them.
When water leaks into the trunk, not so much

The kid who picked dropped me off and picked me up when i got my camry
worked on recenlty had a nonturbo jetta. He told me he gets great
mileage and then told me how heavy the thing is. Apparenlty VW has
something there in the way of gas mileage.

30,000+ people died in car accidents last year. Feel free to post a
breakdown by car manufacturer if you think Toyota is killing people.
Otherwise, your focus on these particular 54 vs. the hundreds/thousands of
others that died due to steering problems, airbag failures, poor crash
protection, inability to operate the vehicle, blind spots, etc... seems a
bit agenda based.
