LOL! That just about sums it up! The packaging was so good, they're afraid
to look at the product too closely!

LOTS OF THEM.

The main reason he was the nominee is Open Primaries. He was the last man
standing thanks to Open Primaries.

He's not the Republican that the Republicans chose, he's the Republican that
the Independents and Democrates chose in Open Primary States. The Republican
that the Republicans would have selected if primaries were closed would have
been Huckabee or Romney, but not McCain. McCain was not the candidate that
Republicans selected, he's the candidate that non-Republicans selected. I
did not vote for McCain in my state's primaries. Most Republicans did not
vote for McCain in their primaries. Most of the voters in the early
primaries that went for McCain were cross-party voters in Open Primaries.
That's a fact. He got most of the votes in Open Primary states. He got most
of his votes there too.

His campaign was not doing well even before he picked Palin. Then after he
picked Palin, he locked her away from the very people she would attract to
the ticket. She did not repel anybody, she only failed to attract the voters
that McCain needed -- but she failed because the McCain Campaign locked her
in a closet.

Her interview with Couric went poorly, that's true. But if she had
interviewed with an anchor/commentator that actually liked the McCain
Campaign, it is clear that she would have fared better than she did with
Couric.

I'm confused that you would ask such a stupid question. After all, you read
the book.

I suspect that her followers would've been challenged to actually find their
voting places, if these people are any indication.

If a commentator liked the McCain campaign, how would the interview have
been different? Seems to me Couric asked reasonable questions. Shouldn't all
candidates have to field the same questions during interviews, just as they
do during moderated debates?

Couric's hostility was evident to everyone but you, apparently.
