Why of course....a few are doing life and will never get out...

Only in the case of serious crime where there is a lengthy prison sentence
is involved....

Unless it was not an overly serious crime--in the absence of a lengthy
prison sentence, deportation can often take as little as few weeks...with 5
or 6 not being uncommon.

--except for putting food on the tables of those who earn a living as prison
and border guards I'm firly well convinced that the $600 million that Obama
just spent on immigration enforcement in Arizona will have zero effect on
the so--called "problem"

IOW, a very substantial amount of the federal money which currently flows
into Arizona is entirely dependant on the continued failure of immigration
policy and the state is exploiting the situation because for them it has
become a cash cow.

===

Federal Tax Burdens and Expenditures: Arizona is a Beneficiary State

Arizona taxpayers receive more federal funding per dollar of federal taxes
paid than the average state. Per dollar of Federal tax collected in 2005,
Arizona citizens received approximately $1.19 in the way of federal
spending. This ranks the state 21st highest among all states, the same
ranking as in 1995 when Arizona received $1.13 per dollar of taxes in
federal spending.

===

I don't have numbers for 2010, but following the money trail and observing
the overall trend I seriously doubt the situation will be reversing anytime
soon.

Oh, I told him all right--it's just that the coward had set "follow up to"

anyways....
