There was nothing incompatible. It ran DOS just fine and all the
software worked just fine.

We had to tweek the BIOS so we could boot it off the 20Mb Hardcard
rather than the floppies.

Oh, no, it ran DOS OK, but there were some things you just couldn't do
with it.

The hardcards were a little more forgiving, we could not get a WD
controller and a 32M to work. We didn't try a hardcard because they were
as expensive as hell! I had a 32M HC in an Amstrad and it was $420!!!

Really. And I was looking at a 1TB in Staples today for $89....
