I'm sure a few of them wre because people paniced. Wow. I must drive different. One of the things I do all the time is think, "what would I do if..." I do it all the time. People have gotten too cozy in their cars, and sometimes think of it as a rolling living room. While I am VERY comfortable in my cars, I also realize it's a CAR, it's a piece of MACHINERY, and could get out of comtrol very easily at any time. If you were operating a 5 ton press, would you be lackadasical about it? I think not, because soon they'd be calling you "Lefty". Yet, people just take their cars for granted. I went 150 miles today in a snowstorm, at some times hardly any falling, and at some times so bad you couldn't see 20 feet in front of you. If your attention level doesn't automatically go up 50 points when conditions are like this... You need to take the bus! ;) That said, EVERYONE with a driver's license should know how to control a car, no matter WHAT!

This would be a good day to kill yourself.
