Yes, I have talked to the Toyota people lately, and they have given me
the information I needed quickly and without prevarication.

The cars, and you know we have two of them, have performed perfectly.

We will see.

Looks like Toyota is turning the tide and using the recalls as an
opportunity to strengthen their ties with their customers.

Customer Care is not as knowledgable as they used to be, I can tell you
that.

They used to have some real tech-savvy people there. Now they are just
plain old Customer Service reps reading from scripts.

OK, but I can tell you pretty much the same story about Fords, Nissans, and
Hondas my family has owned. Well, except I do tend to change wiper blades
yearly. The only two bad cars I've owned in the last 25 years were a Toyota
and a Saturn, and the Saturn was fine till my son turned 16 and started
driving it (but after that...well it wasn't pretty).
