It's a Supra. They made 16,540 in 1988
As far as a good car...
I need to fix/replace the transmission...
The engine 'loses' oil. It's not coming out the tailpipe, but you can
smell burning oil from under the hood...
The body needs to be straightened...
Just about the entire suspension needs to be replaced...
There is a small amount of rust, and although shiny, fresh paint wouldn't
hurt...

Thay are also going for *stupid* money on eBay. I paid $600 for mine, and
could have bought one just like it on eBay 3 months later for $600
(kicking myself HARD!), but I could probably sell it for at least $1200,
probably more.

And besides, it's a Supra (with the removable roof...)

I think the chances of epoxy or Devcon actually working are low because it
will be hard to clean the area well enough for the stuff to bond, but there
is no downside other than the investment in epoxy or Devcon, and the upside
is not having to replace the rack.

J-B Weld is also good, make sure that the stuff you get is compatible with
whatever material the rack housing is made of (probably cast aluminum).
