If the body or suspension is in contact with the ground, rust will speed up.

Just an update.

I started it up today. It ran ok. But no where near enough torque to
bust free. Wheels won't turn.

A 4x4 pickup just spun on the ice, couldn't pull it out.

Will just have to wait and see how things go.

It's just an old car I go to work in a few days a week. Even though
I've driven it now for maybe 10 years.

If just the wheels are frozen in the ice, try sprinkling a liberal amount of
salt on the ice around the tires. If the ice is more than an inch or two
deep, spread enough salt to completely coat the ice around the tires. Rock
salt for water softeners will work.
