My beloved 88 corolla fx has become lodged in ice.

I got stuck in the mud and it froze there.

It's been there about a week or so.

The front chasis is sitting on the frozen ground and is froze there.

The inside of the front tires were stuck to the frozen ground. Dug in
to the mud about 3 or 4 inches.

Since this happened we got more snow and frozen rain and
the front tires are in about an inch or two of ice.

What would you do at this point?

I started it a couple times. But it ain't moving . I don't want to
cause damaged by careless action.

Thanks for any suggestions. I do have somewhat indefinite
alternative transportation.

Although it has been maybe mid 30's for a few hours mid afternoons
still very cold here in West Virginia.

What would Al Gore do? If the car isn't blocking anything and
doesn't have to be moved I'd wait till most all the ice is melted and
then get it unstuck.

Better hope spring comes fast...and it's a dry one...

If you don't want to wait for the weather the weather to warm up and thaw
the ground, you will have to use a heater. A salamander type heater (google
"salamander heater" if you are not familiar with the heater type) is
probably the most effective and should be available to rent at equipment
rental places. Be careful as many require 110 volt power to operate. To
speed up the process, set up a canopy with walls like an EZ-up, making sure
that the walls and the vehicle itself are a safe distance from the heater
and that you stay out of the canopy so you are not overcome by toxic fumes.
