that's why he is on my killfile.

A complete waste of time.

But it's the same old Joe.

A. N. reports Toyota is very concerned about their big sales fall off,
particularly for it flag ship Camry. Toyotas Januarys overall sales
decline was 17% and February sales are reportedly down over 22%.

Toyota is said to be working to try to reverse the trend. In March they
are considering matching GM 100K warranty or BMWs free scheduled
maintenance, in addition to their expanding the current Zero interest
incentive on the slow selling Camry to other models.

As to Tundra, that is old news that plant was closed for three months last
year as well and Toyota was dumping Tundra's for as low as $25,000 at the
Manheim Auto Auctions. It has nothing to do with the deaths and injuries
that have led to the massive world wide recalls, it is the simple fact that
the Tundra has been a dud in the truck market. While Ford, GM and even
Dodge truck sales have been steadily going up, Tundra sales are continuing
on a downward slide ever since the truck came to market.

All of the recalls may be good for Toyota techs but it is hell on the
dealerships. Everyone knows factory reimbursements are rarely ever equal
the real cost to the dealership.

I would not be surprised to see some Toyota dealership being offered up, in
some markets. Dealers with floor plans loaded with a thousand or more
units they can not sell will not take long to sink.
