You can.

Now, I'm not real familiar with your model, but in general, Toyota
instrument panels are held in by three screws at the top, viewed by
looking up, and a couple screws at the bottom. You may have to remove the
lower panel to see the screws, and then, you may not. They may be
accessible by cutouts in the panel.

If it's warm where you are, or have a warm garage, figure on two hours for
your first time. If it's cold, go somewhere where they will charge you
~$70. $150 is way overpriced for this job.

If you want to tackle this, let us know, and/or go to AutoZone.com and
look at their on-line repair manuals.

Shoot, for $150, go to AZ and BUY a manual for this car for ~$15!!!

Well these lasted from 1992 until a few years ago when that one burned
out.
