Only crazy people (from both parties) thought he could end the war. Notice
that if I'd used the word "would" instead of "could", the previous sentence
would've had slightly different meaning.

Never mind. Who am I kidding with that stuff about meaning?

I'm sure the president will be quaking in his shoes after he reads this
letter, if he even reads it.

I have seen Moore's movies & I do sort of respect him in a certain way
for bringing *out* issues but a side of me views him as yet another
oppurtunist making money. But this letter, reminds me of just another
ranting done in a newsgroup or some blog somewhere. It's the most
unintelligent thing I have ever read considering the issues he's
opposing. I agree that they are *VERY* inportant issues but writing them
in a letter oozing of seemingly immature rantings, I don't buy it.

If he came out & said "My movies are available at no cost from now on.",
would you still think he was an opportunist?

The *skeptical* side of me sees him as an oppurtunist Joe whether it's
money related or not, maybe I should have left out the money part & just
left it generalized. I'm sure he has to make money to pay certain bills
that go along with his movies and your question is very unrealistic
because it will never happen (no charge for movies). I said I respect
him for bringing out issues but he's not as important as he may think he
is and I think he knows that as well. I think it's pretty egomaniacal of
him to think that his *letter* means anything to the President, Obama
has bigger things to worry about than Michael Moore. It's more hits for
him on his webpage maybe & a future scenario for yet another movie.....I
think he's setting the stage for another movie & using this to promote
attention to himself, so NO, even if he didn't charge for his movies I
would still be *skeptical* of his motives & consider him an attention
getting oppurtunist.

Well, in a sense, the money issue becomes irrelevant as soon as our public
libraries purchase new movies & books which we can borrow for free. So, I
was just curious about the money versus the message. You know I'm a curious
sort of person who likes to tweeze things apart in ways that make you crazy.
