Nope. They REALLY do the safety check now, but the pipe up the poop-chute
is a thing of the past. Last year or two. They plug into the OBD-II on
1997 or newer cars.

As long as they look underneath and see a cat, it passes!

standards for emissions and safety. ha! as long as you pass a smog, your car
passes. so, no brakes, no lights, no freakin' doors are ok.
diesl's don't even have to do that, nor motorcycles, atv's, tractors, mowers
