Then I know where you are at. You're not far from Texarkana. I went to
school just up the 30 from there in a town called Arkadelphia Arkansas.

And I hear it's true in some parts of the South that people go to family
reunions to pick up dates.

I notice enforcement is picking up here in Illinois, also. I think Mr La
Hood ordered the states to raise their quotas or else. Wouldn't be
surprised.

And if you think cops don't have quotas, you must not know any cops.

Hey, I lived 70 miles up the I-30 from Texarkana. In Arkansas we used to
tell this joke:

Why do Texans have front license plates?

So Arkansas drivers can see them in their rear view mirror and get out of
the way.

We also used to say some Texans need one more S on their license plate.

Correct... A friend here, ex police officer, tells me that they really dodge
giving out DWI's. Paperwork takes hours to finish, and it chews up most
of their shift.

They dont fool with ordinary traffic offenses here under normal
circumstances..
Now, if you rub it in their faces, they will have to stop you, but that is
not
their desire.

Dope stops are high visibility, and of course there is forfeiture money in
some cases. (Previously cited Morrow vs etc etc). There was some
$3,000,000 in forfeiture money that is involved in this case. And this
case is one of the worst examples of police misbehavior I have heard
about in a long time.

More than just a grain of truth in that.
