It seems the people in LA wanted to set up sand berms to keep the oil from infiltratiing the estuaries around the Gulf. The ACOE has finally gotten back to them, basically saying not to do anything until an Environmental Impact study of the berms is completed... !?

Maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration that the Chicoms are drilling along side the Deepwater Horizon because they are really drilling a few miles away, but they are drilling in the Gulf, they are drilling in 5,000 ft of water. DISCUSSION Have you stopped beating your wife? JOE She's not my wife. Completely missing the point that the beating is the part of the discussion, you disect the relationship and point out the inaccuracy. The point is that the Chinese and the Venezuelians, and others, are all drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, not just us. It doesn't matter that the rigs are within eyesight of one another or over the horizon.

In fact, the "rights" for that area were in place long before Obama, per an agreement WE made with Cuba. Obama had absolutely NOTHING to do with the situation. The issue is NOT that any particular country is drilling in that region. The issue is why they're legally able to do so. If you disagree, bring facts to the discussion.
