I would suggest that you investigate the subject of Crohn's disease
specifically at Mayo Clinic's site at
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/crohns-disease/DS00104, or Google
Crohn's disease for an extensive library. Crohn's is something to not
be fooled around with and it is not curable. I have met and know(n)
and know, many patients of Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis (similar in
the bowel inflamation department) when I too belonged to the late
United Ostomy Association. I haven't got it, but know many who have.
Most of them have had a long and painful, sometimes debilitating,
association and course of treatment with it which lasted long term for
many years. Get your doctor to level with you, if he can, and get the
facts from him if he can help. If he can't, get a GOOD
gastroenterologist on your team. You can live with it but it is going
to be with you for a long time if the doc's diagnosis is accurate.
Crohn's by the way, can attack any part of the alimentary canal between
the mouth and the anus. Learn all that you can about Crohn's.
Prednisone will likely become one of your early medications but isn't
always a savior. Discuss its use with the doctor of your choice.

| So far, a prescription.

Hatchi,

Another good site to hit would be CCFA.org from the Google site, at
http://www.ccfa.org/info/about/crohns. Much good information in there.

My cousin has it. And he came close to having to wear a colostomy bag.
He still drinks beer and smokes in spite of crohns.

My advice (and this would be the same even if you didn't mention
crohns..) is get the book 'live right 4 your type' - By Peter
D'adamo. This a great book for EVERYONE. I've lived by it for the
last decade and it changed my life. I always was marginally good with
finances, spending when I made good and spending when I made little.
Now, thanks to a diet that is more suited to me , I am more clear
headed and make better decisions. I'd never have my escape place in Pa
if it weren't for Dr. D and his research in diet.

And, many Asian cultures have been using blood type for eons. They use
it in hiring and setting up love connections. Don't fret. If you can
follow the advice in this book Crohns will not be a factor in your
life. Let the band play on..

PS: My cousin doesn't take advice from anyone, new age or otherwise.
So, he suffers..

I think those vaoprizers are bad for you if you're talking about the
nicotine ones. They are untested over time. Go to the gum. Real cheap
at sams.
