You are free to believe whatever you wish. One thing I can tell you is if
a collector finds an old car, that was in barn for ten years, they will
never even try to start the engine because of acid pitting that can score
the journals if they did. ;)

If the mileage is low enough one can just change the oil and not the filter.

is todays oil that is no more than six month old. LOL
