From: Michael Golden on 25 Nov 2009 09:35 Is there a special tool for removing the tail lights on a Toyota Yaris? I tried pulling as hard as I could and the bulb would not come out of the socket. Toyota charged me $32 to change both rear bulbs. If you own a Yaris, you'll want to keep an eye out for burned out brake lights. One of mine failed at 55K miles and I've seen another Yaris in the area with the same problem.

No relationship at all. I don't know how to change a light bulb in a Yaris, but next time you need it done, I could figure it out for $16. I know it takes 5 Californians to do the job, one to replace the bulb and 4 to complete the environmental impact report.

I'm simply saying the brake light bulbs appear to be a point of failure. There also appears to be an issue in getting the bulb out of the socket without breaking something.

Probably, it takes a quarter turn and then pull the bulb out. -- Ray O (correct punctuation to reply)

If I had to drive a midget car like the Yaris, I would changed the tail light bulbs ever year. I would not want a truck running over MY family for the price of a few bulbs.
