An article in todays Tribune Newspapers, the NHTSA says they have 3,326
unintended acceleration complaints involving Toyota vehicles over the past
nine years resulting in 1,269 crashes, nearly 500 injuries and 54 deaths.
Complaints include owners of Toyotas that had the brake and software

I wish more buyers could be conned into buying hybrids. If there were it
would save gasoline for those of us that like to drive real cars. ;)

Check your facts Mike. The Prius has a top speed of over 100 mph
depending (112 is the computer limited top speed). It has a very
aerodynamic body (low Cd and low frontal area).

I see that now. So he went in for the floor mat / accelerator pedal
recall and they sent him away? Not good if that is true.
