We'll see if I'm right. There are more and more stories about these
things instead of less and less. And less and less people challenge me
when I say it not than before... Now you'll come back with a tin foil
hat comment? Please have something better..? Please..

Scientists gave up trying to prove that skateboarding causes cancer because
the rats kept falling off...

That's because the alarmists/activists are tireless in their fanaticism.
There are some subjects, health and environment among them, where
factual information is almost completely drowned out by the activists.

The EMF thing was discredited in the mid-'90s, and nothing's changed
since then.

> And less and less people challenge me when I say it not than before...

Because it's a fading fad; EMF is old hat. The alarmists are on to other
fears these days.

But now that the Global Warming thing is proving to be the invented scam
I said it was all along, EMF may make a comeback as the alarmists look
for something else to scare the public with.

In my area the primary impetus for the EMF scare is plain old NIMBY-ism.
Towers are ugly. Nobody wants them near their houses because they look
icky. So they dredge up the old EMF nonsense to justify why they don't
want towers near where they can see them.

We've also got a wacko who's raging against a new gas-fired "peaker
plant" that's being proposed for my part of the province. He's ranting
about some sort of cancer causing nano-particles that are supposedly
produced by the burning of natural gas (which he's careful to refer to
as "methane"). Except that just about every industrial furnace, and most
urban and suburban house furnaces /already/ burn "methane". He's put ads
in the paper, and sends letters to the editor. Nothing stops the wackos,
not even facts.

People are easy to scare when they know nothing about the subject.
That's what the alarmists count on.

Some time ago I posted two links refuting the claims of the
alarmists/activists.

Here they are again:
<http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1566444/posts>
<http://fumento.com/emf.html>

I recommend three (four) publications that cut through the mainstream
alarmism to report actual facts: The Wall Street Journal (the op-eds,
not the regular news reporting) Reason Magazine
Forbes Magazine
(and if you live in Canada, the National Post.)

You have to read them ALL, and regularly, to catch all the facts as they
appear, piecemeal.

What's YOUR problem? I have never had a problem with the insurance company
from whom I buy my healthcare, they do a great job and they offer me MORE
coverage than Medicare and for LESS money.
I'll bet you were never in the military if you believe the government can do
it "better." LOL

The VA actually does it well, with better care for less money.

We spend more per capita on health care, yet we have a lot of people who
don't have have care (I don't mean health insurance, I mean they can't
get the kidney dialysis or diabetes care they need), shorter life
expectancies and higher infant mortality than other developed countries.
