I was born right at the start of 1957.

I guess this virus is a variant of the Great Pandemic of 1918, and the
theory is if you were born in the 50's, you were probably exposed to
someone who had the virus. Also, the flu in the 70's was a variant, so if
you were alive then you were again exposed to it, and most likely already
have an immunity.

That's why people born after the 70's are encouraged to get the vaccine
more than older people.

If you're under 24, it requires two doses, and if you're older than 50
only one dose is required. I guess if you're in between, you're screwed...
