Noise, vibrations, and sounds are difficult to identify without experiencing
them first hand, but if you are hearing a click inside the passenger
compartment when you turn on the fan, my guess is that you are hearing a
relay clicking.

This sounds like one of those problems where the service tech reaches in and
spins the Volume dial a little until the mystery noise goes away.

All noises are not indicators of a problem.
