My `02 had the same problem.Turned out to be low refrigerant. There
was a leak in the sysytem . which had to be repaired at a cost of
about $800.00 Canadian. adouble pipe had to be replaced which was not
available aftermarket here.

Cost over $489.00 Canadian.Just for the part.

Could be your fan belt is loose though?
