Very rarely used, since 90% of the cars over here are already automatics. I don't even have it on my license, and I've been driving mostly automatics for the past 12 years and took my road test on a 1962 Corvair 700 coupe with Powerglide automatic (I.e. no park, 2 speeds.) and they did not restrict my license even then.
