From: Mike Hunter on 14 Jun 2010 16:18 You mean those "green" corporation that are getting the most government welfare today? Everyone bitched when BO(ZO) loaned money to GM but not a word about the millions Bo(ZO) gave to several Japanese corporations to make batteries off shore. Where is the outrage now? ;) "Ron Peterson" <ron(a)shell.core.com> wrote in message news:79eabe57-3846-409d-848e-6864eda0cead(a)g19g2000yqc.googlegroups.com... Where is the outrage now? ;) Those green technologies are waiting on the sidelines for oil to get expensive enough, but probably we will all be polluted by then. Why not tax gas some more and balance the budget and fund other alternatives?
From: Mike Hunter on 14 Jun 2010 17:20 Can we assume you do not live in the snow belt or more than 30 miles from the nearest town, as do 40% of Americans? Perhaps we can power many things with windmills but MANY OF them. You live in a dream world if you think we will not need crude oil for a least the next 75 years or more at a GREATER amount than we need today. The REAL world run on oil and will for a long long time. ;) "His Highness the TibetanMonkey, Creator of the Movement of Tantra-Hammock" <nolionnoproblem(a)yahoo.com> wrote in message news:a922a213-efe9-40bd-bb8a-666de1436ccd(a)k39g2000yqb.googlegroups.com... > On Jun 14, 4:20 pm, "Mike Hunter" <Mikehunt2(a)lycos,com> wrote: >> Are you planning to install a windmill on the top of you car? >> > > I think I rather keep my driving to a minimum. > > "BIKE LOCALLY, BUY LOCALLY" MAKES SENSE. > > But we can power many things with windmills... > > (This is presented by one of the angels I'm talking about) > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=376UAQWKbck >
