Sorry but I have to disagree on your last point. Airbags exist for one
reason: to stop US twits who don't use their *required* seatbelt from
launching out their windscreen, landing on someone elses car and ruining
their paint job.

You don't mind the idea of wasting money on gas you don't need to? The
example of the Ferrari F40 comes to mind - explosions in the exaust from
unburnt fuel when you let off on the throttle.
