And just like the Audi 5000, if the driver had applied the brake instead of the throttle the car would have stopped. That's not to say there isn't a problem with some Toyotas. But I am saying these drivers did not apply the brake. See the tests performed in Car&Driver magazine. The brakes can stop a Camry regardless of how fast it is going (not on ice).
