Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday about 270,000 cars sold worldwide --
including luxury Lexus sedans -- have potentially faulty engines, the
latest quality lapse to hit the automaker following massive global
recalls of top-selling models.

Japan's top-selling daily Yomiuri said in its evening edition that
Toyota will inform the transport ministry of a recall on Monday. The
paper cited no sources.

My new IS 250 is unaffected.

At least Toyota takes action to rectify their flaws, unlike American
car makers who opt to compare the dollar value from lawsuits that
result from human life loss to the dollar value involved in fixing
the issue. Remember the Pinto? Ford said it was okay that your
family died screaming in flames, as long as they didn't have to be
bothered with moving the gas tank.

They aren't 'faulty engines', they are faulty valve springs. Small
difference.

Looks like you are sober enough to type. How was your rehab stint? Was it
for drugs or alcohol or both?

He's not yet approved for actual typing or thinking on his own. His
doctor says cut-n-paste only until the med dosage is 1/5th of current.
