Questions Re: "NEW" CAR
Another couple questions on the 2008. Owners manual doesn't quite explain this that I've been able to find yet. On the anti theft system, why would the light blink when the car is turned off but I'm still sitting in it (looking up something in manual) & the doors aren't locked? It says to turn off unlock doors or s... 17 Feb 2010 00:53
"NEW" CAR
I bought a Prius yesterday, not new but new to me. A 2008 with 14000+ miles on it. It's like a spaceship inside though I'm sure I'll get used to it. Had to call the dealer & ask if that anti-theft system light is supposed to flash constantly & yes it is. I'm not used to something showing on the dash when a car is... 17 Feb 2010 00:53
Toyota Says Older Models to Get Fix for Sudden Acceleration
"Toyota said on Friday that it might expand the number of models that will receive a braking override system designed to prevent sudden acceleration, a problem that led the company to recall millions of cars. The disclosure about the brake override system came in a letter from Theodore M. Hester, a lawyer repres... 13 Feb 2010 16:07
Toyota sued in Calif. over acceleration deaths
"Jacquelyn Donoghue of Holder, Neb., said in the lawsuit that her 2006 Toyota Prius suddenly sped up and went out of control in December, slamming into another vehicle, killing her husband John and seriously injuring her. Nelson is also representing Teresa and William Myers of Laurel, Miss., the parents of Steff... 17 Feb 2010 00:53

Toyota's feet in the fire...
Another recall, don't know how many units it affects, but just the fact there is yet another recall does not bode well for the automaker. If Toyota were smart, they'd go back to the way they were making cars in the 80's to get the confidence in their brand back again. Of course, this is going cost more per unit t... 16 Feb 2010 00:29

Governors of states with Toyota plants defend beleaguered automaker
Maybe Toyota will just walk away with a very light slap on the wrist after all this? Toyota already sent out its employees to do the talking in D.C. and PR firms are working full-throttle and without brakes. ;) "Four governors from states with Toyota Motor Corp. plants spoke out Wednesday in defense of the Japan... 12 Feb 2010 11:14
Toyota loses its way
Yoshi Inaba sounds like a clairvoyant. ;) I wonder if there will be charges and arrests in the Toyota case as the Japanese government did in the Mitsubishi case. "For years, warning signs have clashed with its touted high standards Five years ago, Yoshi Inaba, then president of Toyota Motor Corp.'s U.S. sales... 23 Feb 2010 00:19
