This is a weird recall but still an issue that already caused 15

Toyota and Lexus owners must remove driver side floor mat because it
can cause the accelerator to get stuck

The floor mat in my 2009 Highlander doesn't have an anchor mechanism.
There are two grommet holes that come close to match the holes in the
floor near the seat, but nothing is there to hold the floor mat in
place.
