From: david on 12 Nov 2008 19:23 I have a 2000 V6 Camry and have only 54K miles on it. The car is pretty much driven only on the weekend. My quesiton is the timing belt. I have not changed it yet. Do i need to go with the miles or the years with this maintenance. Planning on taking a road trip this holiday and need some advice Thanks

Yes the car is driven and maintained very well. Regular oil changes, coolant and transmission has been flushed. Tires rotated etc etc

The only symptom I ever saw was my dead car in the middle of the road, I didnt know good oil, coolant, trans and tires affected belt life, Haaaaahaaa they dont, a lead foot will, if you are worried have someone look at it to see if its All there in good order. You will be ok I bet. |
