Don't tell me the Massholes also have a form similar to ST-55? They didn't
start putting ST-55's in the back of the 1040 book until sometime in the
1980's or so I understand.

No, they don't have a form for that!

It's part of the Mass Form 1 tax return! No special form!

You're asked to estimate how much tax you owe on goods bought out of state.

There is no "sales tax" on Cigarettes, but there is an excise tax.

The form asks for sales tax.

Not excise tax...

Illinois created a separate form that probably has a completion rate of 0.02
percent. Our state income tax form is called IL-1040. Soon they will
'guestimate' how much you bought out of state and tax you on that. They're
already sending forms to those who buy things abroad and declare them on US
Custom Forms, telling them they owe tax on that. Talk about adding insult
to injury.

It's bad enough you HAVE to complete a RUT-25 when you buy a new or used
car, even if you buy it out of state.

Isn't this what 1776 was on about? Government gone wild?
The longer I live, the more I know what Dietrich Bonhoffer must have felt
like. And Erwin Rommel, and Martin Niemoller and even a bit of Claus Von
Stauffenberg.
