The Pacific tectonic plate is moving eastward and a rate not seen in our
lifetime. The volcanic activity under the Pacific is what warming the
ocean and increasing the EL Nino effect, causing the unusual weather
patterns in the US. The earthquake in Chile moved the city of Conception
TEN feet east.
