They are corporations that are incorporated in the US. As such they must file US Federal Tax returns. Some of the subsidiaries are not 100% owned directly by Toyota Motor Corporation (see my previous post). For example Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, Inc. (a US Corporation) is owned by Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (a US Corporation) which is in turned owned by Toyota Motor Corporation (a Japanese Corporation). Ed Ed

Now, if the tax returns for foreign-owned corporations were publically available on a web site, that the Boston Globe would have listed a few selected foreign-owned corporations that did not pay US corporate income taxes?
