Why are only US market Toyota/Lexus vehicles being recalled? What
design is unique to the US market that's not there in, say, in UK or
Japanese domestic production?

Maybe Toyota USA uses a floor mat that the other subsidiaries don't use.

You read the part about the recall being due to the mats, right?
