Good luck - I keep looking for smaller LCD monitors that take 12V
direct, and there aren't too many left out there. Integrated 100-240V
AC supplies are quickly becoming the norm.

Be sure to run a DC-DC converter in front of that thin client and
LCD for clean power, you don't want any power spikes getting through.
And a car can easily make multi-Joule spikes and fry it up good.

I have a 15" LCD display that runs on 12V. Need to look at the inverter.

Oh, yeah. Or, maybe a 3f capacitor...?
