Probably because they can't understand how an airhead like Ms. Palin
can actually attract national attention. A lot of rational people are
afraid of things they don't understand. It is very hard to understand
how a person who can barely utter two sentences without sticking her
foot in her mouth could get elected to anything at all, yet now she
seems to have attracted a national following. It is incomprehensible
that she is the best the Republicans have to offer. She couldn't even
stick to her job as Governor of Alaska, but now she seems to be
running for President of the US. It is bizarre. It is not that Ms.
Plain is so scary, it is the idea that people pay attention to Ms.
Palin that scares me.
