High security fencing has been erected at a Californian university ahead of
ex-Alaska governor Sarah Palin's upcoming visit.

Metal fencing and access control points have been erected as a protection
measure for the former government official, who is attending a function at
California State University, Stanislaus, later today (Friday June 25th).

The 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate is speaking at a black-tie
fundraising event on the university's campus.

A university spokesperson told the Mercury News that installing high security
fencing was a standard procedure and claimed that the campus would remain open
to students.

The spokesperson also told the news provider that other security measures - as
well as the temporary security fencing solution - would be put in place, but did
not elaborate on these.

Earlier this year, Palin erected a high security fence around her family home to
protect her and her family from the prying eyes of journalists.

She'd not want any questions asked ... as she'd not understand them.
I do hope she paid for the fence. Personally.
