From: His Highness the TibetanMonkey, Creator of the Movement of Tantra-Hammock on 26 Jun 2010 10:57 For it to have Free Enterprise, someone would have get fucked, unless you institute some kind of bureaucracy (presumably the angels) to protect those less lucky... (We assume the angels are not corruptible.) Now, God can go for full blast COMMUNISM (not in the derogatory sense of it) and institute a perfect Maoist Utopia --without, of course, Mao's purges. Or God may institute a system of voluntary COOPERATION similar to the kibbutz. Then we could enjoy two parallel heavens where you can do whatever you want, one for the selfish and one for the unselfish. At the very least I'd expect a sense of community, not a Gated Community in Heaven. The motto on the Heavenly Kibbutz would read: "You scratch my, I scratch yours." I like that. ---------------------------------------------- THE WISE TIBETAN MONKEY SAYS "I use Internet, therefore I am" http://webspawner.com/users/BANANAREVOLUTION

For example, Stupid Unnecessary Vehicles are totally unnecessary and yet advertising creates a demand for them. A bicycle though is totally necessary --just as Mao envisioned-- so I'm afraid there's going to be a lot of communism in Heaven.

I find my THH helpful in transporting my bikes to the bike trails. If I didn't have bikes, I wouldn't need a SUV and would get sports car instead(I haven't figured out which one, anybody have insight as to the best one?). -- Ron

I have in fact used it to bring a bike home after purchasing it (it's way easier than cramming it in the back seat of the Impala, and less risk of getting grease on the upholstery.) nate -- replace "roosters" with "cox" to reply. http://members.cox.net/njnagel

Any car with fold down rear seats should be able to take a bicycle in the trunk with just removing the wheels. It would be even easier with a bicycle that had a quick release seat post. It's the seat and the pedals that usually give me the problems. When I get everything just right the bicycle will slide in effortlessly. When I get it wrong it takes a minute or two. I've even been able to get bicycles in the tiny trunk of my '73 maverick. Seat does not fold down. But I won't even try that with my cannondale. The steel frame bikes I didn't worry about dinging the frame on the threaded end of the spare tire hook. Just tossed a rag over it so it wouldn't scratch the paint. |
