From: Scott on 2 Feb 2010 00:10 Some close family friends of ours own a 2009 Toyota Camry that they bought new about eleven months ago. It's their only vehicle and they are wondering if there's any effective way to distinguish / differentiate a defective CTS Corp.-produced gas pedal from a Denso gas pedal system, which are supposed to be unaffected by the recall? I mean, are there any ways for non-mechanics to visually inspect and determine whether one's Toyota vehicle has a potentially faulty CTS Corp. unit, such as visible serial/part numbers, structural clues or an alphanumeric code within the VIN? Thank you very much in advance for any input and/or assistance that you can furnish. --Scott Buffalo, N.Y. |
