Fix the root cause of the problem. True there are some power loss in a drive train, but not as much as hidden frictions in your vehicle. Most of you (including your automakers) can never be able to eliminate this problem without the help of a special device. That's why automakers leave certain frictions in your vehicles in order to brake effectively. All brakes consume enormous power, but if you can convert the lost power back into energy for later use, you ultimately eliminate power loss. Honda and Toyota were able to improve some, but still this smart device can make a big difference. When a car brakes, it slows down engine directly, it behaves like a 5th brake, rear brakes still work in conjunction with front brakes but you no longer have to leave with heavy friction. A car wastes 80% of power without this device. In 2007-2008, an inventor came to introduce his product, he was/is able to make his conventional cars going 60-75mpg with 2X horse power increase, you didn't believe him, you called him a jerk, a professional scammer. Remember that?
