You can get the hinges replaced right there on the spot!

You can check the warranty status at http://support.dell.com
and punch in your Service Tag number located on the bottom of the computer!

Don't feel bad, I didn't think of it either. The warranty expired this past
January. I think it's ironic that under provider, it lists "SOL."

Call them and try to press the issue. They're getting really tight because
of the economy, but tell them it's been doing it for a while, and if they
will send you the parts, you'll replace them yourself.

If that doesn't work, wait a couple days and try again. Sometimes it
depends who you get...
