Why do you need to copy your HDD? Did you ever buy a motherboard that came with a 'driver disk'? Most of them Have Symantec "Ghost" on them.

Some new monitors a larger HD and since the HD is a couple or 3 years old I wanted to back it up. I found HDClone ver. 3.8 made the boot disk and it works pretty well. So I finally got the HD backed up, something I've been going to do for a year or more. http://www.miray.de/download/sat.hdclone.html They have some other products that you might find interesting.
